Terms & Conditions

  1. Booking Fee
    • A £30 booking fee is required to secure all bookings and is deducted from the final groom price. Booking Fees are non-refundable where cancellations are made with less than 48 hours' notice.
    • A £30 rolling booking fee is required to secure all bookings. This booking fee is not deducted from your groom fee but instead rolls forward to secure your next appointment.
  2. Payment
    • Payment is due in full upon collection of your cat and must be received before your cat is released.
    • Accepted payment methods include:
      • Cash
      • Card
      • Bank Transfer
  3. Late Payment
    • Where payment is not received on the day of the appointment, a discretionary administration fee may be added.
    • Outstanding balances may result in refusal of future appointments until the balance has been settled.
  4. Cancellation
    • A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel an appointment.
    • Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in the loss of your booking fee and the full cost of the scheduled groom becoming payable.
    Cancellation Notice Period
    • Where a cancellation notice period is stated in these Terms and Conditions, this is calculated using the salon’s published opening hours rather than calendar time.
    • Periods during which the salon is closed, including bank holidays and advertised closures, do not count towards the notice period.
  5. Rescheduling
    • Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
    • Requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be treated as a cancellation.
  6. Late Arrival
    • Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time.
    • Appointments delayed by more than 15 minutes may need to be cancelled or shortened.
    • Cancellation charges may apply.
  7. Missed Appointments (No-Shows)
    • Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in the full groom fee becoming payable.
    • Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
  8. Your Responsibility Before Handover
    • You remain responsible for your cat’s safety, behaviour and wellbeing until your cat has been formally handed over to the groomer.
    • Cats must remain securely contained in a suitable carrier until instructed otherwise.
    • The salon accepts no responsibility for injury, escape or loss before handover or after your cat has been returned to you.
  9. Arrival and Collection Safety
    • Owners are responsible for ensuring all doors and gates are securely closed when entering and leaving the salon.
    • Cats must not be removed from their carrier until instructed by a member of staff.
    • Owners are responsible for ensuring their carrier is secure, suitable and in good condition.
  10. Late Collection
    • Cats must be collected at the agreed collection time.
    • Late collection will incur a charge of £5 per 15 minutes.
    • Repeated late collection may result in refusal of future appointments.
  11. Early Drop-Off
    • Early drop-off is by prior arrangement only.
    • Unarranged early arrivals may be refused.
  12. Health of Your Cat
    • Cats presented for grooming must be fit and well.
    • Owners must inform the salon of:
      • illnesses
      • medication
      • allergies
      • pregnancy
      • recent surgery
      • mobility issues
      • behavioural concerns
      • veterinary treatment
      • contagious conditions
    • The salon reserves the right to refuse or discontinue grooming where doing so is in the interests of the cat’s welfare or safety.
  13. Vaccinations & Infectious Disease
    • Although vaccinations are not mandatory, cats should be in good health and free from contagious diseases.
    • Cats showing signs of illness, including cat flu, ringworm, vomiting, diarrhoea or other infectious conditions, must not attend their appointment.
    • Appointments may be refused where there is a risk to other cats or staff.
  14. Fleas & Parasites
    • Cats must arrive free from fleas, ticks and other visible parasite infestations.
    • If parasites are discovered during grooming:
      • the groom may be stopped
      • a salon cleaning fee of £20 will apply
      • future appointments may require proof of treatment
  15. Behaviour & Stress
    • Cats may become anxious or stressed during grooming.
    • If your cat displays behaviour that places itself or the groomer at risk, the groom may be modified or stopped.
    • Charges will still apply for work already completed.
    • The salon reserves the right to refuse future appointments where handling cannot be carried out safely.
  16. Sedation
    • The salon does not sedate cats.
    • If sedation is required for grooming, this must be carried out under the supervision of your veterinary surgeon.
  17. Matting
    • Coat condition is assessed before grooming.
    • Severely matted coats may require clipping short on welfare grounds.
    • An additional matting fee from £35 may apply.
    • Heavy matting may conceal:
      • wounds
      • skin infections
      • bruising
      • parasites
      • lumps
      • skin irritation
    • These conditions may only become visible once the coat has been removed.
    • The salon cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing conditions hidden beneath a matted coat.
  18. Lion Clips & Coat Regrowth
    • Where a lion clip or full body clip is requested or required, owners acknowledge that coat regrowth varies between cats.
    • The salon cannot guarantee coat colour, texture, thickness or regrowth time following clipping.
  19. Nail Trimming
    • Every reasonable care is taken when trimming nails.
    • Due to movement and the anatomy of the nail, accidental quicking may occasionally occur despite appropriate handling.
  20. Grooming Risks
    • Grooming involves the use of clippers, scissors, dryers, brushes, bathing equipment and handling techniques.
    • Despite every reasonable precaution, minor accidental injuries may occasionally occur including:
      • small nicks
      • clipper irritation
      • nail quicking
      • stress-related reactions
    • Should any incident occur, appropriate first aid will be administered and you will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.
  21. Senior & Higher Risk Cats
    • Extra care is taken when grooming elderly, medically compromised or brachycephalic cats.
    • Examples include:
      • Persian
      • Exotic Shorthair
      • British Shorthair
      • Burmese
    • The salon may shorten, modify or decline grooming where continuing may compromise the cat’s welfare.
  22. Emergency Veterinary Treatment
    • Should emergency veterinary treatment become necessary, reasonable attempts will be made to contact you first.
    • Where delay could compromise your cat’s welfare, you authorize the salon to seek veterinary treatment on your behalf.
    • Owners remain responsible for veterinary costs unless treatment is required due to proven negligence by the salon.
  23. Liability
    • Every reasonable care is taken whilst your cat is in our care.
    • The salon cannot accept responsibility for:
      • undisclosed medical conditions
      • pre-existing illness
      • stress-related illness
      • age-related complications
      • reactions to grooming
      • conditions concealed beneath matting
      • events beyond our reasonable control.
    • Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
  24. Photography
    • Photographs may be taken before, during or after grooming for:
      • grooming records
      • insurance purposes
      • documenting coat condition
    • With your permission, photographs may also be used for marketing, social media or the salon website.
  25. General Salon Etiquette
    • All cats must arrive and leave the salon in a secure carrier.
    • Owners are responsible for ensuring carriers are secure and suitable for transport.
    • Children must remain supervised at all times.
    • Please park respectfully and avoid obstructing neighbouring properties or access routes.
    • Owners must remain contactable throughout the appointment in case urgent decisions regarding their cat’s welfare are required.
  26. Complaints & Feedback
    • Any complaint must be submitted in writing within 72 hours of the appointment.
    • Supporting photographs or veterinary evidence should be provided where appropriate.
    • Complaints made via social media will not be accepted.
    • Where appropriate, the salon may offer a re-groom, credit or partial refund at its discretion.
  27. Data Protection
    • Personal information is processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
    • Client information is used solely for providing grooming services, maintaining records and communicating about appointments.
  28. Agreement
    • By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
    • You also confirm that all information you have provided regarding your cat’s health, behaviour and medical history is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
